About The Position

The Production Worker at Northern Pride, Inc. is responsible for handling and preparing turkey products for distribution. This role involves various tasks related to the processing of poultry, ensuring quality and safety standards are met while working in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Ability to keep up with a vigorous speed production line.
• Ability to work in a standing position for 3-4 hours per session.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
• Comfortable handling repetitive motions with hands and wrists.
• Ability to work safely with knives and other sharp tools.
• Comfortable working in close proximity to others in a noisy environment with mild nuisance smells.
• Ability to work in wet/damp environments with temperature fluctuations.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) for 3-4 hours per session.
• Attention to detail to spot defects or abnormalities in poultry products.
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
• Good hygiene practices adhering to food safety regulations.
• Ability to work 40+ hours per week and maintain good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Handle and prepare turkey products for distribution.
• Perform slaughtering and boning tasks including cutting wings, drums, thighs, breasts, tenders, and necks.
• Hang turkeys on moving shackles.
• Operate and maintain machinery and equipment used in poultry processing.
• Handle tasks related to evisceration, giblets, grading, and weighing turkeys before injection.
• Tag and place turkeys into correct bags and boxes.
• Box and palletize packaged whole turkeys.
• Perform quality assurance functions and sanitation duties.
• Stack boxes of fully processed and bagged turkeys.
• Follow safety and quality standards set by the company.
