About The Position

PRIMARY RESPONSBILITY: The Production Worker is primarily responsible for following all procedures and work instructions to help achieve optimal productivity, quality, and safety assuring internal and external customer satisfaction. This position will help ensure product is stacked or rolled properly, finished goods are properly bagged, labeled and stored, and that all waste is disposed of in the assigned area.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Must have your own transportation.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to perform basic math skills such as add/subtract/multiply/divide.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout entire shift.
Ability to bend, crouch, or position self to maneuver in between machinery and production lines.
Must be able to move or transport 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, and work in tight spaces in and around machinery.
Ability to work 12 hour shifts every other weekend when business warrants 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
Setup Winderhead and have bags and labels ready according to shop order specifications.
Ensure product meets quality specifications and communicate with quality as needed.
Stack pads according to the shop order specifications.
Assist in the measurement, weighing and count of finished materials to Product Specifications.
Ensure product is packaged correctly, the correct tubes and bags are used, and bags are labeled properly.
Properly store all finished goods in designated area.
Record product, packaging and other information on specified forms.
Actively participate in 6S Process and maintain housekeeping during the shift.
Move, store and recycle material scrap/waste into the picker.
Assist other areas of production with tasks supporting the production line.
Assist maintenance personnel with mechanical repairs and other departments as necessary.
All other duties as assigned.
