A Day in the Life: The Production Worker plays a critical role in executing food production tasks to meet operational, safety, and quality standards. This position involves operating equipment, following recipes and manufacturing orders, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Core tasks include verifying product specifications, documenting cook temperatures, loading and unloading ovens, and performing sanitation duties. The role also contributes to training routines, coordinates with team members, and may take charge of production activities in the absence of a supervisor. Work is guided by standard operating procedures (SOPs), food safety protocols, and production targets. What You Bring to the Table Production Execution and Equipment Operation · Verifies product specifications according to manufacturing orders and recipes · Operates ovens and monitors cook cycles, including smoke generator maintenance · Loads and unloads racks, pushes product into coolers, and ensures proper cool down · Sets up, operates, and tears down equipment with minimal oversight · Performs general packing, boxing, and product trimming tasks · Operates pallet jacks and hand jacks efficiently Food Safety and Quality Control · Completes HACCP documentation and monitors product temperatures · Follows food safety protocols and participates in safety meetings · Reports food safety concerns and maintains cleanliness of work areas · Inspects ovens and equipment to ensure readiness and compliance Training and Team Coordination · Delivers instruction to new team members using SOPs · Communicates clearly with peers and supervisors · Helps establish routines and training plans aligned with department goals · Guides team members to meet production expectations Physical Capability and Adaptability · Performs repetitive physical tasks including bending, lifting, climbing, standing, squatting, pulling, and pushing · Able to lift up to 70 pounds and push or pull items weighing up to 100 pounds · Works in hot and cold environments and adjusts to changing production demands Work Ethic and Conduct · Maintains reliable attendance and communicates schedule changes in advance · Demonstrates attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks · Responds to supervisory feedback and maintains a professional work environment · Follows company policies and promotes a focused and respectful atmosphere
