About The Position

The Production Worker in Shipping is a temporary role focused on preparing and processing shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers. This position is essential for maintaining quality shipping and inventory control objectives in a leading manufacturing and distribution company in Missoula, Montana.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 months of similar job experience is a plus
• Able to speak and read English
• Math and reasoning skills
• Ability to sit for long periods of time and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
• Keen attention to detail
• Excellent hand/eye coordination and good manual dexterity
• Team player with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work under deadlines

Responsibilities

• Formulates and maintains quality shipping, receiving, and inventory control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals
• Orders and maintains standard shipping supplies and requests quotes for best pricing
• Interfaces with vendors via phone, fax, email, or in person
• Receives and processes returns
• Packages and labels products
• Helps set up and line up work for co-workers
