About The Position

The QA Tech position is responsible for improving and maintaining our quality and food safety programs and standards throughout the entire facility. Includes HACCP and quality monitoring programs and audits for produced products. QA collaborates with other departments as necessary to ensure the product is produced to the highest food safety and quality standards. A QA Technician must have a sense of urgency, have a positive attitude and work in team environment as well as on their own.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Manufacturing: 1-3 years' experience in a RTE or Raw Processing Plant preferred.
• QA/QC in the Food Industry: 1-3 years preferred.
• Experience in Microsoft windows (MS Excel, MS Word)
• Written communication
• Must have the ability to add and subtract.
• Ability to carry out detailed verbal or written instructions.
• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers.
• Ability to acquire job skills within three months of on the job training.
• Requires regular and consistent attendance (Flexibility)
• Ability to work independently.
• Adaptable
• Multitasking
• Detail Oriented

Responsibilities

• Pre & Operational Inspections of equipment throughout the entire plant.
• Responsible for checking that product being produced/packaged meets customer and plants standards/specifications.
• Responsible for overseeing that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) are being implemented at all times and report any violations to QA Management.
• Responsible for random collection of samples.
• Responsible that sanitary conditions of the working area and equipment is acceptable.
• Communicate effectively both written and orally.
• Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed, and perform work independently without being prompted.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
