About The Position
The Production Worker / Packaging Operator is responsible for performing two main functions: the bagging operation and the baler operation. This role requires the operator to maintain the ability to perform both functions as determined by the Shift Leads. The position involves operating machinery in a productive manner while adhering to established safety guidelines and procedures. The operator will assist other production areas as needed, move and wrap completed products, and will be required to lift up to 50 lbs while standing for a minimum of 7 hours per day. The operator will also assist the Shift Leads in starting and stopping the pellet mills, communicate any moisture or material problems to the Shift Lead, maintain a clean workstation, and perform other duties as assigned.
