Production Worker/Operator (Night Shift)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES At our Denver facility we are looking for a night shift production worker who picks copper and fluff off moving conveyor, cleans around mill and or MRP, assists shredder mechanics in changing out conveyors, bearing shafts and greasing. CF&I Recycling is committed to maintaining and promoting a safe, healthy and injury-free environment. It is required for all jobs. Keeps the work area clean and ready for daily operations. Ensures conveyor bearings are clean and properly greased. Sorts only copper and ASR to ensure quality material is shipped to customers. Reports any issues immediately as they arise. Assists shredder mechanics during projects. Assists in meeting monthly production goals. Performs other duties as assigned. Performs lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures before working on any plant equipment. Cross-trains in other departments to provide coverage during short staffing or call-ins.
Requirements
- Completion of High School and/or equivalent
- Occasional additional hours, including weekends, may be required depending on operational needs
- Ability to push, pull and lift materials up to 40 lbs.
- Standing for up to 12 hours, regular walking, squatting and climbing
- Mechanically inclined
- Self-motivated: Initiates and takes action before being required to do so
- Strong work ethic: uses time efficiently, work safely and making sure everyone around them are working safely
- Strong command of the English language both written and spoken
Nice To Haves
- Some Recycling/Mining experience will be considered an asset
Responsibilities
