Overview The Production Worker I is an entry‑level role responsible for supporting the assembly and production of heated blankets while learning production processes, equipment operation, and basic product knowledge. This position works under close supervision and focuses on training, safety, quality, and meeting production schedules.

Requirements

  • Machine and Equipment Operation Ability to operate machines or equipment under supervision. Capable of learning and running one machine within a production value stream.
  • Manual Dexterity and Tool Use Proper use of basic hand tools to perform routine tasks. Follows safety procedures and 5S protocols consistently.
  • Computer Literacy Basic computer skills, including entering data and completing steps within an ERP system by following instructions.
  • Problem Solving and Critical Thinking Uses established procedures to complete straightforward tasks. Identifies issues and seeks guidance when problems fall outside assigned scope.
  • Math Skills Uses a calculator and follows work instructions to perform routine measurements and calculations.
  • Time Management Follows production schedules and meets on‑time delivery requirements.
  • Follows all safety procedures and company policies related to equipment and tool operation.
  • Demonstrates teamwork, dependability, flexibility, and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to read, understand, and communicate work instructions, safety information, and basic production documentation in English.
  • Willing to train and work in other production areas as needed.
  • Meets physical demands of the role, including moving materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work the required schedule and overtime as business needs dictate.
  • High school diploma or trade school education preferred but not required.
  • Upon receiving an offer for this position, candidates will need to consent to a one time drug test and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing or production experience is a plus, but not required for Level I.

Responsibilities

  • Train on and operate one designated machine within a value stream under supervision.
  • Learn basic product knowledge, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Assemble components and perform sub‑assembly tasks following work instructions.
  • Use hand tools and measuring devices properly, including reading tape measures and fastening metal components.
  • Operate and train on powered equipment such as forklifts, as assigned.
  • Apply basic product knowledge to make simple adjustments during production.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure products meet established standards.
  • Conduct routine equipment cleaning and basic upkeep; report minor issues appropriately.
  • Follow safe handling procedures for tools, equipment, and approved chemicals.
  • Record production data and complete required ERP system entries by following work instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production schedules and on‑time delivery goals.
  • Escalate production, safety, or quality concerns to the line lead or supervisor.
  • Assist in other production areas as directed.
