Production Worker - Frame Welder

About The Position

Under general supervision, work on the production line to build manufactured housing, as part of a team, and perform quality work at a fast moving and consistent manner. Employee will be required to learn our method of welding both mig and arch. Also required to learn and use a cutting torch properly. Must learn how to layout a chassis and assemble it per our DAPIA requirement. There are multiple jobs set forth in preparing for the following day, from cutting stack to prepping hitch plates. Employee will be shown how to use a bridge crane and all other tools properly. Flexibility is a must for job rotation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Performs all manual labor in the area to which assigned. Read blue prints and orders Communicate well with coworkers Use hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools Welding, wiring, painting of chassis Competencies Must have a strong work ethic Must have the ability to work quickly and methodically Must understand safety procedures Must have good teamwork skills Must live the Champion Operating Principles Qualifications Previous experience in welding desired, we will provide additional training Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
