About The Position

Howmet Aerospace is currently looking for a Crystal Verification Technician to join our Howmet Casting located in Dover, New Jersey. The work hours for this Midnight position are Sunday Night through Thursday Night 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM. Training on 1st Shift. This position will receive an hourly 'shift premium' while assigned to an off-shift. The Crystal Verification Tech has nonconforming product disposition authority to review product non-conformances as part of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Candidates residing within 50 miles radius of Dover NJ will only be considered.
• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Performs visual, real time image computer and NDT inspection on single crystal castings.
• To visually inspect the grain integrity of SC and DS castings to specific customer requirements and with the aid of a real time image computer program, analyze the internal properties.
• To perform any rework operations, e.g. belting, RX, spot etch, to complete the inspection process in an expeditious manner to meet customer schedules.
• Performs other duties as might be assigned by supervision.
• Must pass visual exam.
• Must pass DS/SC level II exam for certification.
