About The Position

The Soil Counter/Sorter at Alsco Uniforms is responsible for handling, counting, sorting, and recording incoming soiled textiles from customers. This role involves identifying damaged textiles and preparing them for transfer to other departments, ensuring efficiency and safety standards are met while performing various tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Recognize colors and sizes accurately.
• Count textiles accurately.
• Comprehend and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Open bags of soiled textiles and sort them by type, size, and color.
• Count textiles manually or electronically and transfer them into sorting systems.
• Identify damaged or abused textiles and record them into sorting systems.
• Meet efficiency and safety standards for the position.
• Follow instructions as directed by supervision.
• Work in other production positions as needed.
