Performs a wide variety of operations to support remanufacturing production goals, including but not limited to paint application, end-of-line testing, equipment programming, quality audits, and refrigeration system analysis and repair. Responsible for processing production entries of food and beverage products by determining, and/or following methods and sequences of operations, while adhering to standardized processes. Identifies and rejects nonconforming products and performs troubleshooting to determine the root cause(s) of failure. Inspects, analyzes, and repairs refrigeration and heating systems to ensure that finished product is in safe, working condition. Reads and interprets work instructions, assembly drawings, BOM’s, process sheets, wiring diagrams, and routings. Inspects the quality of work from upstream processes utilizing quality control measures and makes adjustments or rejections to ensure the finished product conforms to specified standards. Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Production Associate II role.
  • High school diploma or general education degree preferred or minimum of 3 months of related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to basic routing instructions or work orders.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to add or subtract whole numbers
  • Ability to use fixed gauges, measuring instruments and similar devices required.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams containing microcontrollers, various relays, and other integrated circuitry.
  • Basic knowledge of refrigeration systems and the components within them.

Responsibilities

  • Operate powered hand tools and large power tools/equipment.
  • Set up and adjust processing tools/equipment as necessary.
  • Install light weight components, kits, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies to medium & heavy weight products (i.e., coffee brewers, carbonated beverage dispensers, and juice dispensers).
  • Install product delivery components, electrical components, circuit boards, and wire routings according to plumbing and wiring schematics.
  • Operate testing equipment to perform end-of-line testing of electro-mechanical equipment containing sophisticated circuitry, heating systems, and refrigeration systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems to maintain product quality standards.
  • Reprogram equipment to factory settings or specified customer parameters and install the latest firmware updates.
  • Mix paint materials according to specified ratios and apply paint using pneumatic sprayers.
  • Perform compressor replacement, leak detection, brazing, and refrigerant evacuation processes, among other tasks, within refrigeration systems.
  • Responsible for utilizing the product traveler to order necessary components and acknowledge the quality and completion of work performed.
  • Conduct out-of-box audits of daily production to verify functionality and workmanship of finished products Use findings to identify processing gaps and recommend countermeasures.
  • Process warranty claims.
  • Adhere to standard work, including but not limited to visual work instructions, specification sheets, process checklists, and Kanban instructions.
  • Ensure upkeep of work area housekeeping by adhering to 5S framework and conduct 5S audits to resolve housekeeping issues throughout the facility.
  • Inspect, and perform routine maintenance on, tools/equipment.
  • Use computers to reprogram equipment, enter processing data, and print necessary materials.
  • Follow safety rules to ensure own safety and the safety of others.
  • Coach lower-level associates on work standards and best practices.
  • Perform small continuous improvement and 5S projects.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
