About The Position

The Production Worker 2 performs various types of routine, unskilled sorting of production products and hand packaging on production lines, combining the work of Sorter and Production Worker. This position works under the direct supervision of the Operations Supervisor assigned to the sorting operation or the packaging operation on production lines.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school not required, but desired.
• Experience not necessary, but desired.

Responsibilities

• Sorts various kinds of fruit at the Blenders, Pitters, Cut Fruit, and Production Lines, discarding blemished fruit and debris from the acceptable product.
• Folds and forms packaging cases to be used on the production line, ensuring the proper case is used for the product being packed.
• Packs cases with product, ensuring the specified packing pattern and correct amount of product is packed.
• Performs routine quality assurance checks of packaged product to ensure count, sealed packages, and proper fruit, checking for debris and unwanted items.
• Cleans work area by picking up discarded items and keeping the work area clean of debris and unwanted items.
• Ensures safe working conditions and practices in the assigned area by observation and actions, informing the supervisor of conditions.
• Performs all the work of a Production Worker II, as required or assigned.
