About The Position

Join Lantech as a 1st Shift Production Welder in our CLIMATE CONTROLLED facility. We offer a 4-day work week with overtime opportunities, quarterly profitability bonuses, and TONS of opportunities for advancement. Our Production Welders START at $21.00/hr. 1st Shift: Mon - Thu, 6am - 4:30 pm. Who are We? Lantech is widely recognized as the world leader in stretch wrapping technology. We also are industry leaders in robust and efficient case and tray handling equipment. Today, Lantech equipment is found worldwide, with technical support in multiple languages.

Requirements

  • Must have (1) one year of MIG welding experience with ability to pass pulse assessment.
  • Ability to read and follow instructions in English (blueprints and standard work).
  • Self-starter who is detail oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
  • High aptitude for working with situations of a manufacturing nature.
  • Practices safe work habits as an individual and with co-workers.
  • Adheres to guidelines related to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Team-oriented individual with good interaction/communication skills.
  • Ability to get directions and follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work effectively within a fast-paced production environment.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Able to stand for 9-10 hours per day.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
  • Willing and able to work overtime to complete projects and/or meet scheduling deadlines.
  • Customer focused with a strong commitment to quality and production schedule.
  • Sustained record of good attendance.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Pulse welding experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings and knowledge of welding symbols.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Demonstrated ability to weld outside of a fixture.
  • Ability to run a saw and drill press (previous machining experience strongly desired).
  • Additional training from vocational or trade school.

Responsibilities

  • MIG welding which will include loading and unloading fixtures for welding.
  • Welding standard components.
  • Welding of mild steel in order to fabricate the scale base fabrication.
  • Grinding all surface welds at a level to not be seen after painting is complete.
  • Running radial arm drill press and saw.
  • Standing for 9.5 hours each day.
  • Manual dexterity to maneuver equipment for welding.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Team-oriented and able to backfill cells as needed.
  • Willing and able to work overtime as needed to complete projects and production deadlines.
  • Passing and sustaining Pulse Certification.
