PEMEX Deer Park is a highly complex refinery located 18 miles east of Houston in Deer Park, TX, and is a part of the PEMEX group which is a fully integrated oil company in the Americas, working across the entire value chain: exploration, production, industrial processing/refining, logistics and marketing. PEMEX Deer Park provides a diverse and inclusive work environment that employs approximately 1000 employees with another 1200 contractors on site. The refinery’s rated capacity is 340,000 barrels per day and has the feed flexibility to process multiple grades of crudes to produce the high-quality transportation fuels the world needs. The PEMEX Deer Park site is co-located with other 3rd party chemical facilities allowing for further integration and optimization of the refinery and its products. Job Summary: - This role manages a production area of the PEMEX Deer Park Refinery. - The position is responsible for managing the staff and hourly production personnel as well as leading the multi-disciplined area production team. - Leadership of the efficient and strategic management of the area’s infrastructure, TA, projects, and growth with engagement of the Executive Team is another key responsibility. - This role is accountable for building sustainable performance in HSSE, quality, reliability, and unit costs by executing key work processes, developing people, and making key decisions

Requirements

  • In depth understanding of operational practices and work processes
  • Awareness and understanding of Union/Management interface
  • Familiarity with training and development of front-line leaders and operations personnel
  • Strong communication and listening skills

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a Manufacturing facility, 5 years in Production/Operations Management including experience in key Leadership roles.
  • Must currently hold or be able to qualify to receive a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.

  • Engineering degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the Production aspects of the Business Plan
  • Deliver the operating budget and Master Service Agreement with 3 rd party
  • Manage and develop the Production Staff and represented employees
  • Execute key work processes (notably ESP, RCM, MTA, ME, MOC, TA, PSM)
  • Develop and support area multi-year unit strategies including identification and resolution of threats, capital plans and maintenance strategies.
  • Effectiveness of production team
  • Member of various site governance teams.
  • Assure effective interface between Production and Refinery Business Planning, Maintenance, Technical, Engineering, HSE and IR groups.
  • Ensuring timely and effective improvement plans rising from threats list, incident reporting and investigation, internal and external audit findings.
  • Ensures 100% compliance and sustaining of key safety/process safety/regulatory compliance barriers.
