About The Position

Tampa Microwave is a leading manufacturer and supplier of Manpack & Fly Away satellite terminals designed and built for the expeditionary user community to guarantee communications connectivity in the most austere environments. Tampa Microwave primarily serves Federal and Department of Defense markets. We are seeking to fill a Production Test Technician II position located in our Clearwater, FL location. This position reports to the Manufacturing Test Manager.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain US Secret Level Security Clearance upon hire as required
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the integration and test of complex digital/microwave hardware.
  • Ability to lift test equipment and hardware up to 35 lbs. Some domestic travel may be required.
  • Fluent in the English language- written and oral
  • Ability to comply with all Company guidelines, policies, procedures and embrace Company Core Values.

Responsibilities

  • Must test, align, and troubleshoot RF sub-assemblies/systems from DC to 40GHZ. Analog and digital knowledge required.
  • Must have knowledge or willingness to learn, equipment related to RF test sets such as spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, RF power meters, DMM’s and Oscilloscopes.
  • Set up standard test apparatus and fixtures to conduct tuning, functional, operational, and environmental test to evaluate performance and reliability of production hardware.
  • Ensure integration and test process conform to released documentation.
  • Provide input to Production/Test Manager or Manufacturing Engineers on production metrics that identify integration and test inefficiencies.
  • Must be able to analyze and interpret data.
  • Must be able to read schematics and identify schematic symbols.
  • Record test data and observations using Microsoft tools (i.e.: Excel, Word) and utilize this data while following lean manufacturing principles to work with the production supervisor, Manufacturing Engineer and Quality assurance manager to increase integration and test throughput and reduce cost.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to work OT as needed.
  • May be subjected to work outside at times.
