Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM field and 5 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, quality, testing or similar industrial environment OR a Master's degree and 3 or more years of experience in a similar field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience working with engines, modules, systems, or related.
  • Working knowledge of engine systems operation, special test equipment, and tooling.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering degree (aerospace, industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, quality).
  • Engine test, flight line and/or engine shop maintenance knowledge.
  • Familiarity with engine construction.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation for vibration, temperature, force, pressure and flow measurements.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control.
  • GitHub / Python / Excel Macros experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support testing of production engines at the Middletown Engine Center.
  • Ensure every engine demonstrates all test requirements and resolves issues involving the test stand, data acquisition, and/or the engine.
  • Serve as the Middletown PTE Model Manager (focal) for the PW1900G program.
  • Increase working knowledge with in-house processes such as analyzing test data and working with production specific acquisition systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting on engine, test systems hardware, and test systems software.
  • Review and trend engine performance/execution to ensure compliance with performance specifications.
  • Provide written engineering recommendations during engine tests to operations/quality.
  • Communicate with external engineering groups as issues arise during tests.
  • Flow down operator/inspector communications as required.
