About The Position
American Water is seeking a Production Technician Relief Operator to operate chemical feed systems and perform required process control testing and analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring reliable operation of water treatment facilities, tank sites, and booster stations. This role requires knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and water treatment facilities, as well as the operation of heavy equipment including a forklift. The position involves routine water quality lab sampling, regulating flow of the water treatment plant, maintaining required pressure, and ensuring compliance with IEPA requirements. The candidate will also play an active role in developing and maintaining SOPs and supporting the planning and execution of capital work.
