About The Position

We are currently seeking a talented individual to be a Production Technician in Muscatine, IA. The production technician will be responsible for a safe, reliable, and efficient operating of Cryogenic Air Separation plants. The role will include, but not be limited to performing routine operating, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. The candidate must have demonstrated ability to work across departmental lines. Candidate needs to be able to travel up to 10%25 to support another remote plant located at Sterling, IL. Candidate must be able to adjust their work schedule based on facility activities, be able to work overtime as required, and be on call. On-call for the year will be split between the candidate, once qualified, and the other Muscatine technician. Must be willing and have the ability to interpret manufacturers' manuals and apply hands-on skills in repairing certain mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5 or more years Production Operations experience in an industrial environment

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting Electrical Schematics, Process Diagrams, and Electrical One Line Diagrams
• Perform calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of process analyzers and instrumentation and have a working knowledge of plant control systems
• Have a working knowledge of computers and typical computer programs (i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point)
• Start, stops, and operates production processes and makes appropriate adjustments to remedy deviations and align to the specified norm.
• Operates units to continuously supply products in quantities and qualities safely and economically, complying with all environmental regulations, quality standards and daily customer requirements
• Responsible for scheduling, permitting, and overseeing contractor field work
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections and compliance tasks
• Safely troubleshoot and maintain all rotating equipment and associated mechanical systems including compressors, pumps, fans, blowers, gas burner systems, and valves.
• Operating forklifts/man-lifts
• Working outdoors in various weather conditions.
