We are seeking to expand our operations by adding 1 additional employee to be cross-trained in two of our production departments on the split first shift schedule (12pm – 8pm or 1pm – 9pm, M-F). This position will train on the day shift for 6-8 weeks and then transition to the split first-shift schedule thereafter. This is a hands-on shop role assembling and masking parts for aerospace coating work — strong attention to detail and precision masking are must-haves. You’ll use basic tools, keep your area clean, be trained to wear a tight-fitting respirator, and cross-train to support paint and coatings operations when needed. Requirements

U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency Required. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Minimum high school diploma or GED. Training or certification from a technical school or program is a plus.
Attentive to detail and takes pride in completing high quality work.
Must possess a strong mechanical aptitude with competency using basic hand tools.
Ability to understand measuring equipment and perform calibrations (e.g. Eddy current probe, pH meter, conductivity meter, and multimeter and electrical insulation meter).
Fixture parts or standard research specimens.
Reliable, dependable and on time to work.
Listens, follows direction, maintains a positive attitude/mindset, and stays on task.
Must have dexterity to handle small parts with care.
Ability to bend, lift, and stand on feet throughout the work shift.
Prior industrial painting experience is a plus but not required. Willingness to cross-train and operate in a respirator environment when needed is required. Ability to wear a tight-fitting respirator during chemical mixing and/or painting operations, as needed.
Previous experience in metal working, machine shops, electrical/plumbing and drafting is highly desirable.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints is desired.
Forklift experience is a plus.
Overhead crane experience is a plus.
All employment at IBC is conditional upon results from a background check and drug test.

Prior industrial painting experience is a plus but not required.
Previous experience in metal working, machine shops, electrical/plumbing and drafting is highly desirable.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints is desired.

Responsibilities

Perform masking, cleaning, mixing, and other associated prep work for coatings and/or painting operations.
Monitor curing times and ensure safe handling of preheated and finished cured parts.
Perform inspections for adhesion, solvent resistance, thickness, etc.....per mil spec and IBC quality checks and input values into ERP (as required).
Work with basic hand tools and riveting tools to assemble parts (i.e. socket wrench, hand riveting tools, hydraulic riveting tool, air-powered rivet gun, etc.).
Read and understand blueprints and part drawings.
Mix sealing compounds and apply to parts as instructed (respirator usage required).
Use ink and stenciling to apply markings per customer specifications.
Make electrolytes by: Weighing chemicals, dissolving them into solutions, following introduction methods via recipe, and following safety data sheet (SDS) and standard handling protocols.
Keep work area clean and tidy.
Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Follow all AS9100, internal quality policies, OSHA safety regulations, and company safety policies.
