Position Overview: As a Production Technician , you’re a member of a production crew, reporting to a supervisor of an assigned production area. You will contribute to the success of Ball by observing operating principles of all assigned equipment and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for your area of responsibility. The Tampa plant is high-volume, fast-paced 24/7-365 days/year manufacturing environment.  Our crews work 4 days on/4 days off, rotating from days to nights and back every 4 weeks (6a-6p/6p-6a) Follow all 5S standards and job safety practices and policies including but not limited to food safety; personal protective equipment; emergency procedures, etc. Operate, adjust, and repair high-speed production equipment to meet plant production goals. Assist with performing preventative maintenance on assigned equipment. Inspect aluminum for proper quality standards and customer specifications. Build positive relationships across designated team by effectively collaborating, communicating, and upholding ethical integrity.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education.
  • 1-year minimum experience in a mechanical job-related field with demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years’ work experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
