About The Position

To be considered for this role you must be able/willing to work any of the listed shifts, as we cannot guarantee placement on a certain shift at this time. Plant technicians are hired as members of a high-performance work team. Technician work teams are responsible for: -Operating production lines -Keeping production flowing -Meeting performance goals -Maintaining the high level of quality that consumers expect from our products Essential Functions of this position include: Work in and out-of-doors in the seasonal ranges of temperature and humidity. Lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Enter confined spaces – including tanks and other normal work areas Climb stairs, ladders, platforms, etc. on equipment, tankage and building structures for the purpose of inspecting, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting. Bend at the knees and bend and twist the back for the purposes of operating and maintaining equipment. Stand on concrete floors for periods of up to 12 hours/shift. Drive a material handling tractor backwards in areas of high traffic and close quarters. Operate high speed equipment requiring high levels of physical coordination and sensory capability (i.e. auditory, visual, olfactory, touch). Consistently attend work during normally scheduled work hours Work any scheduled shifts, weekends, up to 12 hours and occasional overtime. (Rotating shifts – Plant specific) Technicians perform various types of work such as: -Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting high-speed making, packing and other production related equipment -Using basic hand and power tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, drills, grinders, etc. -Performing preventative maintenance on equipment -Technicians are expected to get involved, take charge of situations, demonstrate ownership, confront business-related problems and continuously improve the equipment and processes -Technicians are responsible for following all safety and good manufacturing practices as detailed in plant procedures

Requirements

  • PRODUCTION EXPERIENCE (2 yrs. Preferred)
  • Individuals with a desire to learn manufacturing processes including operating and maintaining automated equipment, computer systems and product distribution systems, should apply.
  • Strong technical aptitude, proven leadership, problem solving skills, solid interpersonal skills, computer skills (Data Bases, Excel, Word, or equivalent)
  • Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment
  • Ability to work well in a team-based, diverse culture

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in liquid process or packing operations
