About The Position

We are currently seeking a Production Technician for our Air Separation Units and Liquid Hydrogen Unit located in La Porte, TX. Essential Functions Include: Learn all aspects of the Air Separation & Liquid Hydrogen Production Process. Learn and operate computer control system for the plant. Read and interpret P&ID, SWD, equipment manuals and company procedures. Monitor process performance and makes appropriate adjustments to remedy deviations and align to the specified norm. Operate units to continuously supply products at the appropriate quantities and qualities safely and economically, complying with all environmental regulations and daily customer requirements. Perform daily/monthly inspections/rounds of equipment. Perform lock-out tag-out, and safely permit maintenance work, and oversee contractors as necessary. Fill liquid and gas hydrogen trailers and move trailers with a yard mule inside the facility. This position will also require working outdoors in various weather conditions and working occasional non-standard shift including call-ins and weekends/holidays.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong interest in and experience with electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Have a working knowledge of computers and typical computer programs (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Projects).
  • Proficiency with a variety of hand tools, meters, instrument calibration equipment etc.
  • Working knowledge of electricity, electrical systems and motors.
  • Must be able to manage confined space entry, climb ladders and steps, lift to 50 lbs., and work at heights.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates in Applied Sciences Degree or equivalent apprenticeship preferred.
  • 2 or more years Production Operations experience preferred.
