About The Position

The Production Technician role is integral to the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of an Air Separation Gas Plant that supplies high-purity gases to a semiconductor manufacturing customer. This position encompasses responsibilities in the Control Room, field operations, and technical support at the Customer Use Point building. It plays a key part in maintaining uninterrupted gas supply and ensuring compliance with strict quality standards.

Requirements

  • Technical diploma or degree in Process Technology, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Prior experience in gas plants, petrochemical, chemical, or semiconductor industries preferred.
  • Familiarity with air separation technology, gas compression, and cryogenic systems.
  • Knowledge of control room systems (DCS/PLC) and plant instrumentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in both control and field operations.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience within industrial facilities.
  • Industrial facility environment with potential exposure to high noise and cryogenic gases.
  • Requires use of PPE and strict compliance with safety standards.
  • Availability for on-call duty, overtime, and emergency response when required.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, control, and optimize plant processes using Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
  • Track operating parameters, alarms, and plant performance to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Execute start-up, shutdown, and emergency procedures according to standard operating guidelines.
  • Perform routine rounds, inspections, and equipment checks on compressors, turbines, pumps, heat exchangers, and gas storage systems.
  • Conduct first-line troubleshooting, minor maintenance, and reporting of equipment issues.
  • Ensure compliance with plant safety standards, environmental permits, and operational policies.
  • Oversee and maintain gas delivery systems at the Customer Use Point, ensuring uninterrupted supply and adherence to purity specifications.
  • Perform quality checks, monitor gas analyzers, and promptly respond to deviations.
  • Collaborate with the customer’s technical and production teams to address operational needs and resolve supply-related issues.
