About The Position

Linde is currently seeking Production/Fill Zone Technician in East Chicago, IN. Under the routine direction of the manager, will be responsible for a variety of complex operations and production duties in an ISO/FDA/QA/EPA/OSHA air separation environment where products include oxygen, nitrogen, argon and hydrogen. Primary Responsibilities: Monitors equipment performance and makes minor adjustments such as set-ups, calibrations, troubleshooting, and product testing. Must know when to call other specialists when more serious malfunctions occur. Measures and records various data associated with operating equipment. Utilizes standard repair procedures when necessary. Responsibilities/duties are typically focused and routine at this level. ISO/FDA/QA/EPA/OSHA experience preferred. Candidates would be working with rotating and/or process equipment that the technician maintains. Gauges, valves, pressure switches, analyzers, etc. The candidates should have a general background in instrumentation and/or electrical, including PLC's. The candidates will operate plant from computer. Minor repair and diagnostic troubleshooting required. Job requires working outdoors year-round, climbing 150' tall columns, some heavy lifting, using man-lifts, and driving semi-trucks within the plant site. Fluent computer skills required. Must be willing to work overtime as required and be on call. Some local and overnight travel maybe required.

Requirements

• High School diploma
• 2 to 6 years Production Operations experience
• Fluent computer skills required.
• Must be willing to work overtime as required and be on call.

Nice To Haves

• ISO/FDA/QA/EPA/OSHA experience preferred.
• Candidates would be working with rotating and/or process equipment that the technician maintains. Gauges, valves, pressure switches, analyzers, etc.
• The candidates should have a general background in instrumentation and/or electrical, including PLC's.
• Associate degree in Process Technology preferred
