About The Position

The Production Technician at HG Medical supports manufacturing and quality control operations by performing secondary processing, finishing, and packaging activities for precision medical components. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that parts meet required surface finish, cleanliness, and compliance standards prior to final shipment. Production Technicians operate and support various secondary processes including tumbling, sand blasting, anodizing preparation, passivation preparation, water jet cutting, and sterile packaging. The role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality procedures, and the ability to follow standardized work instructions within a regulated medical manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in medical devices or a related industry.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and diagrams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • High school diploma, GED, or completion of a trade school program in machining or a related field.
  • Equivalent professional experience may substitute for formal education requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor secondary processing equipment including tumbling systems, sand blasting equipment, water jet machines, and other finishing tools.
  • Perform post-machining finishing processes to ensure components meet required surface finish, cleanliness, and dimensional standards.
  • Support chemical processing preparation activities such as anodizing and passivation according to established procedures and safety protocols.
  • Conduct visual inspections and basic quality checks to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform sterile packaging and labeling of finished components in accordance with company procedures and traceability requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to production activities, inspections, and packaging processes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to support safety, efficiency, and compliance with medical manufacturing standards.
  • Assist in identifying equipment or process issues and communicate with supervisors or maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures including safety regulations, quality standards, and operational guidelines.
