About The Position

Production Technician III The person in the production technician III position will be responsible for the assembly, testing, and documentation of our cutting-edge, class III medical devices. You will work closely with our production and engineering teams to ensure the highest quality and efficiency in our manufacturing processes. This is a hands-on role that requires a keen attention to detail and a strong understanding of good manufacturing practices. Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum of 3-years’ experience in the medical device or drug industry or other regulated production environment.
  • Ability to read and write English and must have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sharp visual alertness.
  • Fine motor skills (handling of very small, delicate items).
  • Basic math skills (additions/subtraction).
  • Ability to use a microscope and various hand tools.
  • Ability and willingness to use destructive testing equipment such as a precision table saw.
  • Ability to read drawings and understand and interpret dimensions and tolerances preferred.
  • Technical understanding of documentation, safety and design application preferred.
  • Experience working with manufacturing-based technology processes and principles preferred.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, bend or move up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in manufacturing technology preferred.
  • IPC-A-610 Certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate production equipment for the manufacture and testing of complex medical devices.
  • Use product specifications, diagrams, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to produce products.
  • Document all production activities accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor process output for quality and conformance to required metrics.
  • Perform destructive testing (i.e. cross sectioning of titanium parts) using specialty equipment such as precision saws, rotary polishers, and metallurgical microscopes.
  • Prepare and maintain required records of production activities and report any inconsistencies or equipment issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical and quality issues in accordance with Quality policies to ensure the smooth operation of the production line.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and increase efficiency.
  • Train and mentor junior production technicians as needed; train operators as needed on standard processes.
  • Follow established guidelines for safe material handling and personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to uphold safety and regulatory standards.
