The Production Technician serves as a critical bridge between pumpers, field data systems (Field Operator), and production accounting (ProCount), ensuring alignment between field measurements, SCADA systems, and accounting records.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail (critical for production and revenue accuracy)
  • Basic understanding of oilfield operations and terminology
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy

  • Effective communication across field, accounting, and operations teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Business, Analytics, or related field)
  • 2+ years’ experience supporting production, operations, or engineering teams
  • Experience with Field Operator / ProCount / SQL / RtChx

Responsibilities

  • Assist Lease Operators (Pumpers) with daily route data entry across wells, batteries, and facilities
  • Review Daily Allocation Error Report and correct measurement errors, data gaps, and daily production volumes within Field Operator.
  • Review daily variance reports and resolve discrepancies
  • Identify and report issues impacting production or measurement, such as abnormal production behavior, variances, equipment malfunctions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Monitor and validate run tickets daily and work with transporters, purchasers, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Weekly downtime validation
  • Review and validate well tests.
  • Review daily allocated production vs theoretical volumes and explain any variances outside of tolerance.
  • Track and analyze daily production and sales volumes, downtime, and measurement variances.
  • Perform basic variance analysis to identify data inconsistencies and reporting issues
  • Monitor tank levels, meters and measurement points, separators and production equipment for volumetric anomalies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data field-to-accounting alignment, data capture and quality.
  • Assist Operators in troubleshooting issues in Field Operator.
  • Coordinate and ensure that routes are synced daily in Field Operator.
