About The Position

The Production Technician in Packaging Operations at Herbalife is responsible for a variety of tasks related to the operation of production equipment in the manufacturing of powders and teas. This role is crucial for troubleshooting equipment issues, ensuring quality production, and training other team members. The technician must maintain knowledge of the production process, adhere to safety protocols, and be flexible in rotating through different positions as needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate production equipment to Herbalife's specifications.
  • Ability to instruct and train others.
  • Good documentation skills, including legibility.
  • Ability to communicate with supervision and team members.
  • Compliance with all company policies and safety regulations.
  • Good math skills for computing yields and variances.
  • Ability to interface with machines and computers.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working independently and in a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) knowledge.
  • Experience with FDA or other regulatory bodies.
  • Experience using High Speed Mixers, Powder Blenders, and other equipment.
  • 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably at Herbalife.
  • Food manufacturing or packaging experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all production jobs including Manufacturing, Packaging, and Change Over.
  • Troubleshoot equipment to minimize machine downtime.
  • Complete rapid change outs of equipment to ensure quality production.
  • Ensure equipment clearances with quality control before processing starts.
  • Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe acts.
  • Assist Production Management and Engineering with planning new equipment phases.
  • Communicate procedures effectively and train others as needed.
