Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Demonstrated ability to properly use various gauging equipment (i.e., calipers, bore gauges, micrometers, etc.)Prior machining experience. Knowledge of equipment condition check sheets and required documentation Able to perform preventive maintenance as required by the P.M. schedule Able to perform required quality checks and to troubleshoot sort stops. Problem solving and decision making skills – gather, organize, and analyze information to resolve a problem/situation and make sound decisions consistent with JTEKT philosophy Able to cross train on all lines Demonstrate and support the JTKET philosophy and policies Willingness to learn, master new tasks, policies and procedure in a timely manner Demonstrated initiative and ability to work without the need for constant direction/supervision Knowledge of and application of JTEKT standards for quality, IATF 16949, standard work, safety, environmental, IS14001 and ergonomic. Proven ability to contribute toward the success of the team and the company Proficient English communication skills Regular and punctual attendance is required Ability to work overtime and any shift as needed Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Prior machining experience. The performance of this position requires exposure to manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as steel toed shoes, safety glasses with side shields.
