About The Position

The Technician B Assembly will support manufacturing activities and team members while following policies and procedures related to successful manufacturing operations. Essential Duties and Accountabilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. Drive and lead team in 5S Relieve Team Lead as needed Perform preventative maintenance are required by the schedule Troubleshot sort stops and perform required quality checks Operate and maintain various equipment at an acceptable level with emphasis on quality, IATF 16949 standard, safety/environmental, 5S and productivity Operate and maintain automated and semi-automated equipment in a high-volume production environment Able to communicate and perform in a fast paced, team environment with a positive outlook in communication and conduct with others Adherence to all company policies and procedures Flexible to work in any area of operation/shift as needed Travel as needed May perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned by management.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability to properly use various gauging equipment (i.e., calipers, bore gauges, micrometers, etc.)
Prior machining experience.
Knowledge of equipment condition check sheets and required documentation
Able to perform preventive maintenance as required by the P.M. schedule
Able to perform required quality checks and to troubleshoot sort stops.
Problem solving and decision making skills – gather, organize, and analyze information to resolve a problem/situation and make sound decisions consistent with JTEKT philosophy
Able to cross train on all lines
Demonstrate and support the JTKET philosophy and policies
Willingness to learn, master new tasks, policies and procedure in a timely manner
Demonstrated initiative and ability to work without the need for constant direction/supervision
Knowledge of and application of JTEKT standards for quality, IATF 16949, standard work, safety, environmental, IS14001 and ergonomic.
Proven ability to contribute toward the success of the team and the company
Proficient English communication skills
Regular and punctual attendance is required
Ability to work overtime and any shift as needed
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Prior machining experience.
Work shift as assigned and overtime is required, as needed.
Will be required to do the following throughout the shift: standing, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching above and below shoulders, moving left to right repetitively, grasping, and fine finger dexterity.
May be required to lift during shift up to 40 lbs.
Specific vision abilities required with this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
The performance of this position requires exposure to manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as steel toed shoes, safety glasses with side shields.
