About The Position

The Production Technician I at Cepheid is responsible for supporting the manufacturing of synthetic oligonucleotides in a cGMP environment. This role involves executing and documenting standard operating procedures to ensure the successful manufacturing and timely delivery of oligonucleotides for in-vitro diagnostic products. The technician will work as part of the Oligonucleotide Manufacturing team, contributing to the transfer of new products from development to manufacturing and ensuring robust processes during commercialization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related life science field.
• 0-5 years of proven experience in a laboratory setting.
• Ability to think logically, prioritize tasks, be organized, self-motivated, and work effectively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of solid phase oligonucleotide synthesis.
• Manual pipetting and/or liquid formulation experience.
• Use of HPLC equipment or other automated instrumentation.
• Working knowledge of GMP regulations.

Responsibilities

• Execute laboratory procedures including solution preparation and operation of laboratory equipment.
• Perform and document process steps according to defined GMP protocols.
