Job Title Production Technician I Responsible for analyzing processes and projects in the production of high quality ceramic powders. • Communicates technical issues, process and material deviations and equipment challenges in a timely manner to all pertinent personnel (operator, technicians and/or management team members) • May work with engineering to resolve technical issues. • Performs shrinkage/characterization testing (i.e. moisture, slip weight, viscosity). • Identifies and suggests innovative solutions to improve quality, decrease cycle time, and reduce costs. • Appropriately interprets and responds to basic SPC control charts and simple capability studies for processes that require the use and application of basic statistical software. • Assists in analyzing/troubleshooting systems, processes, product or equipment against the desired results. • Proficient in utilizing manufacturing computer to accurately gather and maintain specified records of technical data. • Performs computations, plots data, or draws curves, graphs and charts. • May set up production machines and test equipment. • Utilizes higher math skills to calculate surfaces, volumes, weights, densities and various other measures. • Acts as a quality gatekeeper between Engineering and Production to assure all processes are properly followed and materials are manufactured to defined requirements. • Assists and/or performs in any and all areas as assigned. • May work any and all shifts/days as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in AMP processes, lab experience or demonstrated ability.
  • Intermediate language and math skills.
  • Basic understanding and practical application of Statistical Process Controls
  • Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds
