Requirements

  • H.S Diploma
  • Forklift Certified
  • Manufacturing Experience
  • Experience in Foods Manufacturing
  • Union Environment Knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Clean, organize, sanitize, and set up various production areas including, but not limited to, the pail line, drum line, emulsifier line, stabilizer line, and shortening lines.
  • Read and comprehend necessary information from production paperwork in each production area. This may include batch formulas, packaging schemes, and finished good logs.
  • Operate metering equipment and valves to flush out oil lines.
  • Utilize a scale to measure out partial raw material additions.
  • Manually cut and dump raw materials (bags/boxes/drums) into a hopper to batch and flush powdered material lines.
  • Package various finished products in cardboard boxes, pails, drum, jugs, totes, or bulk tankers.
  • Operate a stretch wrapping machine to store materials in the warehouse.
  • Utilize a drum lifting forklift attachment to transport drums of material throughout the plant.
  • Transport and stage various raw materials in each production bay while referring to the batch worksheets.
  • Operate a floor scrubber, pressure washer, broom, dust mop, wet mop, and use of various cleaning supplies.
  • Complete sanitation and cleaning checklists.
  • Train as a backup to various production technicians
  • Obtain sample requests as needed by sales/customer care/quality lab.
  • Other duties as assigned
