Perricone Farms, a leading citrus juice supplier located in Fort Pierce, FL, is seeking a Production Technician 3 to join our team. Summary of Functions: As a Production Technician 3, You will be responsible for the operation and continuous monitoring of production machinery to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. This role plays a critical part in product safety by maintaining precise control over temperatures and flow rates, while accurately documenting data in compliance with company protocols and applicable regulatory standards, including FDA, USDA, and HACCP guidelines.

  • Set up, operate, monitor, and maintain pasteurization equipment.
  • Verify and record critical control points (temperature, pressure, flow time) for each batch
  • Sanitize equipment and work area according to sanitation SOPs.
  • Conduct pre-operational and post-operational inspections.
  • Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions to maintenance.
  • Ensure safe operations through adherence to Environmental, Health and Safety programs and procedures.
  • Perform regular inspections, light sanitation and maintenance on equipment.
  • Assist with setup, calibration and adjustment of machines.
  • Ensure that production standards and quality metrics are met.
  • Troubleshoot complex machinery issues and be able to offer safe and effective solutions.
  • Food safety Inspections – monitor fruit’s quality and equipment – e.g. conveyers, nozzles, brushes and hopper.
  • Ensure daily, weekly, monthly sanitization procedures and record keeping are completed.
  • Responsible for following Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point Plan (HACCP) principles and practices consistent with FDA health standards, adhering to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP).
  • Knowledge of SDS sheets and how to interpret them to ensure chemical safety.
  • Productivity Reports – to monitor and record tons per hour- per variety
  • Notifies supervisor of unusual problems.
  • Works in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Follows health and safety guidelines. Maintain and keep work area according to cGMP.
  • Comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.
  • Conduct all verification activities to assure finished product comply with food safety and quality specifications.
  • Participates in the yearly review of the food safety system.
  • Assist in the maintenance of Food Safety and Quality system.
  • Responsible for Non-GMO SGS Supply Chain Standards.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish helpful.
