About The Position
Vishay manufactures one of the world's largest portfolios of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components essential to innovative designs across various markets. The Production Technician 1 role is crucial for ensuring compliance with production plans, maintaining efficient production line outputs, and adhering to internal work instructions, safety rules, and applicable regulations (e.g., EHS). This position involves executing, supervising, or managing manufacturing front-end processes, including the preparation and processing of wafers, components, or semi-products according to specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities also include performing basic machine-related setup and/or CNC/SPS-programming when required, and cooperating with maintenance technicians or external service providers for repairs. At this level, the technician controls a broader operations workflow, potentially involving parametrization or specialized programming, monitors and checks processes for efficiency and product quality, and instructs colleagues on dedicated workflows. Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with production plans and production line outputs
- Keeping production assigned overall efficient
- Adhering or ensuring adherence to relevant internal work instructions, safety rules and applicable regulations (e.g., EHS)
- Planning or contributing to unit's budget, allocating resources and keeping manufacturing cost as planned
- Executing, supervising or managing manufacturing front-end processes as assigned, according to specified procedures
- Preparation of wafers, components or semi-products and monitors related hand-stock
- Processing components or semi-products/products according to specifications and quality standards
- Performing basic machine-related setup and/or CNC / SPS-programming, if required
- Cooperating with maintenance technicians and/or external service providers in repair issues
- Controls a wider operations workflow in a related control station, which may including parametrization or specialized programming
- Starts, monitors and checks the processes assigned, and continuously observe efficiency of process and quality of products
- Instructs colleagues in the dedicated workflow to take action if appropriate
