About The Position

Finished Goods Production/Packaging Department Assembly & Packaging of finished goods. Respecting the value of time. Arrive to work on time and ready to work, consistently. Respect allotted and required break times, extended restroom breaks should be considered break time rather than taking required 10-minute break and then also taking a 10-minute extended bathroom break. · Accuracy/Quality: perform work and obtain results of your own just as you would expect/desire someone to do if you owned the company. · Competency: the capability to apply or use the set of related knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform 'critical work functions' or tasks in a defined work setting. ... Competence is a measure of both proven skills and proven knowledge. · Thoroughness/completeness: displaying great care and attention to detail. Completing tasks/duties to the full extent. · Efficiency/effectiveness: obtain a desired outcome or product with the least amount of wasted input/resources. · Consistency: Adhering to the same principles in a steadfast way. Having ability and desirable attributes is of little long-term value unless it is executed consistently. · Self-improvement/aptitude: Desire and effort to improve one’s knowledge, skills, and spirit. Understand that no one knows everything, there is always something new to learn and improvements to be made, at all levels.

Requirements

  • Report to and take direction/instruction from Department Manager.
  • Job duties are primarily assembly and packaging, but other duties will also be required at times:
  • & other duties at times.
  • Basic computer skills: must login and out of workorders while accurately reporting in the computer system as required.
  • Ability to stay on task, complete work timely and accurately, identify and report any quality concerns, and working safely is a requirement.
  • Ability and performance determine the compensation level. Ability is determined by the actual skill level. Performance is the frequency that one consistently performs at in their skill level, along with the common employee requirements and expectations.
  • Accuracy; Assemble, process or package to department requirement with consistency and accuracy. Follow all processes in both steps and in principle, meaning “strive for the desired outcome” beyond just adhering to steps, by consciously working to mitigate mistakes.
  • Quality; Thorough inspection of parts for defects, inconsistencies, accuracy, quality, and quantity prior to beginning surface preparation. For painters, thorough inspection parts to be sure they are ready to be painted. Proper baking time and temperature for each type of part. No mistakes; correct parts, correct quantities, high quality.
  • Competency: Pay attention, be aware of what you’re doing and the required outcome for your work and be able to identify problems create/suggest solutions and improvements, report them to your manager in writing.
  • Efficiency/consistency; Every second/minute counts, be as productive as possible without sacrificing any of the above attributes.
  • Responsibility: When appropriate, follow the detailed work instructions for the part that is being processed.
