About The Position

Stand-By Personnel has immediate openings for a skilled Production Tech. to support mechanical assembly and specialized production tasks in a highly regulated environment. The Production Tech. will perform assembly, testing, equipment setup, data collection, and quality checks while adhering to strict safety, quality, and documentation standards.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • High School Diploma required
  • Must be able to obtain ATF clearance (Energetic Devices Facility)
  • Must excel in a team environment with a quality-first approach
  • Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and results-oriented mindset
  • Proven excellent attendance and reliability
  • Strong documentation, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with sound judgment
  • Must pass an extensive background check and drug screen (no felonies)

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred task-specific certifications (one or more): — Electronics soldering — Spot welding — Crimping — Laser beam welding — Electro-static discharge — DOT shipping/packaging — X-ray Level I or II — Brazing
  • Experience preferred in: — Manual or automated assembly equipment — Automated systems operation — Set-up and operation of automated pressing equipment & dies

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical assembly, potting, soldering, and spot welding
  • Assemble products per technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and documentation
  • Conduct product testing using specialized equipment, such as: — Electronic volt meters — Helium leak test systems — Digital X-ray systems
  • Process electrodes (cleaning tabs, sorting defects, assembling cells, activation procedures)
  • Set up and program task-specific equipment such as laser beam weld systems
  • Execute detailed process procedures for all aspects of cell manufacturing and assembly
  • Operate specialized equipment including: — Winders, wrappers, filling systems — X-ray systems, stackers, welders — Activation systems, mixing and coating equipment — Calendaring, slitting, blanking, grinders, servo presses, hydraulic presses
  • Perform product quality self-inspections
  • Collect and organize process and product data from cell builds
  • Meet deadlines under pressure while following all safety practices and company policies
