About The Position

The position is located at the EDI Houston Plant in Houston, TX, where the primary responsibility is to ensure correct quality control of dry ice produced, track quantities and materials used, and maintain clear records on all inventory and stock. The role involves receiving and processing incoming stock, monitoring product quality, and making necessary changes as directed. Additionally, the employee will be responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing the workspace, preparing orders for shipment, and recording exact arrival and departure times for shipments. The position requires operating stock management tools and demonstrating support for General Manufacturing Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and adherence to all quality requirements including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The employee will also work to maintain a safe work environment and comply with all company, local, state, and federal mandates. Continuous improvement in services and processes is expected to reduce waste while striving for greater efficiency and profitability. The role includes assisting with maintaining records for all phases of production relative to safety and participating in a LEAN manufacturing culture.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Experience with forklift operation is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in cold, hot, and noisy environments.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Basic math and reading skills; ability to understand production labels and instructions.
