Welcome to Greendale, Indiana! Greendale is part of the Wellness Group within Catalent, as well as the Softgel and Oral Technologies (SOT Business Unit). This Catalent manufacturing operation specializes in gummy manufacturing. On site, we have a state-of-the-art Mogul unit for manufacturing gummies, a high-speed bottling process, and a pouching operation. The Production Tech maintains safe, efficient execution of packaging line processes. Utilizes basic packaging equipment and techniques to ensure consistent packaging of product while meeting all quality and regulatory requirements. The Production Tech carries out specific instructions, both written and verbal, to meet production schedule. Serves as critical component of the Packaging team, promoting team morale.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for safe, quality-focused execution of assigned tasks
  • Assist in basic equipment care, which includes thorough cleaning and inspection
  • Assist with the safe, efficient changeover of packaging lines
  • Ensure all necessary packaging materials and other collateral supplies are on hand and available as required by the production schedule prior to starting production
  • Promptly report all equipment malfunctions or off-spec production to the appropriate resource(s)
  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of area and all equipment and supplies found therein
  • Observe and follow all safety procedures and wear all required PPE appropriately
  • Observe and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Food Safety Plan (HACCP) and Food Quality Plan (FQP)
  • Take responsibility for producing high quality product in each step of production
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3+ months of experience required
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell and reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance
