This comprehensive production role encompasses the critical stages of our baking process—from initial mixing to final packaging. You will be responsible for preparing recipes, operating slicing equipment, and packaging finished products while ensuring all items meet company quality, safety, and food standards.

Responsibilities

  • Ingredient Preparation: Accurately measure and dump ingredients into mixing bowls according to established recipes.
  • Process Monitoring: Closely monitor the mixing process and immediately communicate any changes or irregularities to leadership.
  • Equipment Inspection: Inspect machines prior to and during the run to ensure optimum utilization and operational performance.
  • Setup & Preparation: Clean and set up slicing machines in a timely manner to meet production schedules.
  • Technical Operation: Constantly monitor machine operation and perform in-process checks, making technical adjustments as necessary to maintain consistency.
  • Workflow Support: Relieve the pack-off and slicing areas as needed to maintain a steady workflow.
  • Packaging: Package fresh bread directly from the slicer and assist the Slicer Operator when necessary.
  • Assembly: Efficiently fill trays, assemble boxes, and stack products according to specifications.
  • Organization: Ensure an adequate supply of pans, racks, and tools are available for all tasks.
  • Quality Control: Inspect bread at all stages of the process to ensure quality benchmarks and high standards are consistently met.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Strictly follow all Work Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Safety Adherence: Strictly observe all safety policies and procedures as outlined in company training and manuals.
  • Documentation: Maintain precise counts and accurately complete all required production paperwork and logs.
  • Reporting: Promptly notify Supervisors of operational issues and contact the Maintenance team regarding equipment malfunctions or technical issues.
  • Sanitation: Clean machines and immediate work areas consistently to maintain a food-safe, organized, and debris-free environment.
  • Collaboration: Communicate effectively with other departments and incoming crews to ensure smooth transitions and information flow.
