Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to safely handle molten metal and operate ladle equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Metal Pouring Operations: Safely and accurately pour molten metal from the ladle into sand molds, ensuring the correct heat and mold count are verified for each pour.
  • Ladle Maintenance: Inspect and maintain the ladle refractory by chipping solidified slag to keep the ladle in optimal condition for continuous operation.
  • Work Order Management: Identify the next heat to be poured, take temperature readings, and collect samples from the ladle to support quality control and process efficiency.
  • Material Transfer: Roll ladles to transfer molten metal to the AOD vessel and manage slag removal at designated times during the melting process.
  • Work Area Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment, adhering strictly to safety protocols.
