We are actively hiring a Team Leader for 2nd shift to join our team at our Grand Rapids plant. Americhem is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of custom color concentrates. Our Team Leader directs shift activities, compounding and manufacturing processes of products to meet customer specifications and schedule requirements. They coordinate the activities of the Production shift to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks. Act as a liaison between the lab, production, logistics, and maintenance. The ideal candidate possess the following: High school diploma or equivalent 5-10 years of relevant work experience in a similar industry (e.g. color, plastics, paints/inks, etc.) preferred Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot Forklift experience Dependable, reliable, and self-motivated Solid math and analytical skills Associates or higher degree in Management, Quality or Engineering preferred. Experience working with computers and computer software (Microsoft Suite, Oracle, etc.) Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5s, Six Sigma preferred.
