About The Position

The Production Team Leader in General Assembly is responsible for leading and assisting team members to achieve objectives related to safety, quality, productivity, training, and team harmony. This role involves mastering all jobs within the team, implementing continuous improvement practices, and fostering a positive work environment. The Team Leader serves as a communication link between team members and management, ensuring effective operations and addressing any quality issues that arise.

Requirements

• Completed 1 year Length of Service as a Team Member.
• No active Corrective Action within the past 12 months.
• Minimum score of 75 on performance evaluations within the past 12 months.
• Required completion of KMMG Team Leader Development & Leadership Training - 8 of 16 hours.

Responsibilities

• Master all jobs and skills of the team to train and assist team members.
• Perform assigned Team Leader tasks including pre-shift, during shift, and after shift duties.
• Teach the Georgia Production System (GPS) to team members for continuous improvement.
• Monitor safety, quality, cost, and productivity with daily improvement activities.
• Create a positive work environment and motivate team members.
• Assign team members to operations based on production demands and training.
• Interact with others to resolve quality issues and act as a technical problem-solving resource.
• Implement repair/containment procedures for quality defects and notify management timely.
• Assure product quality meets specifications by performing quality checks throughout the shift.
• Serve as a communication link between team members and the Group Leader through daily meetings.
• Monitor team members for performance issues and seek direction for corrective initiatives.
• Collect, record, and analyze data regarding daily activities related to safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
