About The Position

The Production Team Lead at Wells is responsible for overseeing the production crew and ensuring that operations run safely, efficiently, and productively. This role involves hands-on work with the crew, communication with supervisors, and collaboration with the Quality Control Department to maintain high standards of quality. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with strong problem-solving and communication skills, dedicated to continuous improvement and team leadership.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years Precast Concrete experience preferred.
  • Interpersonal communication skills to interact with co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
  • Ability to train and coach other employees if necessary.
  • Problem-solving skills to solve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • General math skills and ability to read tape measure.
  • Ability to work with others to complete projects efficiently and work independently when needed.
  • Motivated and self-driven to complete tasks.
  • Knowledge of products the company uses, and which products would work best.
  • Ability to lead a team with respect and dignity.

Responsibilities

  • Work hands on with your crew to strip, set up and pour the bed in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with Supervisors to ensure production is on schedule.
  • Work with the Quality Control Department for optimal quality.
  • Track the inventory of items that are being used by their crew.
  • Manage and assign tasks for the crew they are overseeing.
  • Perform general laborer work and ensure the job is being set up properly.
  • Support company safety policies while maintaining a safe work environment and addressing safety concerns as needed.
  • Maintain a professional relationship and a positive attitude with employees in the plant and office.
  • Read pour tickets to organize, and coordinate, while verifying that the tickets are accurate.
  • Lead your crew in performing plant cleanup/housekeeping expectations set by management.
  • Actively look for new ways to improve our processes, reduce errors and increase efficiencies.
  • Help manage the day-to-day planning, operation and problem solving of production.
  • Exceed and meet departmental objectives.
  • Create a sense of ownership within the employees and resolve issues, if any.
  • Communicate the company's purpose, core values, vision to the front employees.
