About The Position

To provide set-up, training and coordination of labor force to complete Commercial Services contracts.

Requirements

  • Employee must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider. If at any time the employee is unable to maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to GESMV's liability insurance provider, they must immediately notify Human Resources.
  • Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.
  • Ability to train, to produce accurate counts, tabulate and write these counts on report forms.
  • Ability to produce minimum daily output.
  • Meet all established deadlines per contract.
  • Customer Service Oriented with a pleasant disposition
  • Must be able to work independently with little direct supervision as well as have the ability to work cooperatively as a team member.
  • Must be able to follow through with projects, contract deadlines and assignments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred but not required.
  • Production experience helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform direct production, quality control and material handling functions of specific contract job assigned.
  • Operate small machinery and tools utilized on assembly jobs.
  • Maintains personal production time sheet for transitional workers and WEP/Community Service volunteers, on a daily basis, measuring hours worked, position and product produced.
  • Maintain quality of task assigned.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Train employees and volunteers in safety standards: new employee and volunteer first day orientation and ongoing hazard communication.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Comply with all Agency policies, procedures and safety standards throughout work areas and maintain same to meet CARF, HIPAA, Department of Labor and other regulatory standards.
