This production team leader supervises the daily activities of a production area to ensure that volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are achieved. Other main responsibilities include: Coordinates work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity. Monitors production activity, identifies process problems, troubleshoots causes and develops solutions. Suggests improvements to improve efficiency or safety. Delivers or coordinates staff training and on-boards new staff. Ensures all safety policies and processes are followed.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree.
  • Generally, has a minimum of 2 years' experience as an individual contributor.
  • Thorough knowledge of the team processes.
  • Strong experience of productions safety and work-floor 6S standard required.
  • Ability to work under pressure, coordination ability, interpersonal communication ability, planning and execution ability.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily activities of a production area to ensure that volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are achieved; Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Coordinate work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity.
  • Monitor production activity, identify process problems, troubleshoot root causes, and develop solutions.
  • Suggest improvement plans to improve efficiency and safety.
  • Deliver and coordinate staff training and new hire orientation.
  • Ensure all safety policies and processes are followed.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
