About The Position

Adler Pelzer Group - a growing global Tier One supplier of Acoustic and Soft Trim products to the automotive industry is seeking several Production Team-Leaders for the manufacturing operations in Thomson, GA. The Production Team-Lead Assists with management and maintenance of his/her designated section of the business as related to customer product line or internal manufacturing processes. Knowledgeable of all functions from raw materials to finished goods, to include equipment and machinery. Quality, Safety, Process, Costs, Throughput, Inventory and Operating Expense are maintained at established standards. The following are the major duties and responsibilities of the Production Team-Leader: Required to begin production as scheduled (start of shift). Works closely with production force, providing guidance and needed materials. Performs hourly checks on work cells to ensure that quality and production goals are achieved. Prepares and reports shift and daily production totals. Positive communications among other shifts and departments to ensure consistent information. Notifies Supervisor of poor work performance of team members and any employee relation issue. Ensures all manufacturing equipment is safe to operate and all guards and stop buttons are functioning prior to beginning production. May complete other check lists or operator production sheets prior to and at end of production. Manufactures product ensuring that all finished goods meet customer requirements in quality, quantity and proper packaging and labeling. Maintains good housekeeping in work area and throughout the plant. Follows APPS and Lean Manufacturing directives and instructions. Accepts assignments and other responsibilities as required in support of team objectives. Ability to understand and comprehend operational work instructions.
