We are currently recruiting for a Production Systems Development Manager to come and join our team at our Chesterton site in ST5 7ES. The role involves leading the creation, development, and implementation of the Production System across the group, ensuring cross-departmental collaboration and accountability. The successful candidate will drive a culture of continuous improvement, establish structured processes for resolving production challenges, and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of the Production System implementation.

  • Lead the creation, development, and implementation of the Production System across the group.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the working group, ensuring cross-departmental collaboration and accountability.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies, analysing data and implementing solutions to optimise output.
  • Establish and implement structured processes for identifying and resolving root cause production challenges.
  • Develop a detailed implementation plan with clear milestones and deliverables.
  • Lead joint efforts with internal audit teams to assess progress and ensure compliance standards.
  • Define and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of Production System implementation.
  • Coach the team at factories to ensure day-to-day tasks are complete in line with expectations.
  • Perform weekly reviews to track progress on objectives and manage performance.
  • Deputise the Head of function when required.
  • Extensive experience in management role dealing with all levels of Management.
  • Ability to motivate and encourage others; be decisive and able to work well under pressure.
  • Possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Innovative thinking and solutions focused.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma preferred.
  • Extensive experience in implementing production systems in large-scale industrial environments.
  • Strong leadership and change management skills.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in developing and using KPIs.
