The Production Support role is an entry-level position that provides essential support to the beverage manufacturing processes at Shasta Beverages, Inc. This position is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation of the production lines, particularly in setting up, adjusting, maintaining, and configuring equipment to build pallets of beverage products for storage and shipment. The Production Support team member will be responsible for building pallets according to assigned specifications, which involves regular communication with production personnel and supervisors, as well as completing the necessary production paperwork to maintain accurate records. In this role, the employee will safely and efficiently start up both the automated and manual portions of the Variety Pack Line, Direct Ready Pallet production, and re-packing production. The individual will conduct visual inspections and complete documentation during production runs to ensure that all work is defect-free. Additionally, the Production Support role may require backfilling production lines as needed, utilizing pick tickets and receiving documentation to accurately select products for the VP DRP line. Building stable and accurate pallet loads for shipment is a key responsibility, which includes operating automated and manual wrappers to secure the pallet loads with plastic wrap. The position also requires adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) compliance at all times. Employees must maintain a clean work area, perform preventative maintenance on equipment, and ensure item pick accuracy to prevent product damage. The role demands consistent meeting of established production and service level standards, recording hourly production data, and informing supervisors of any discrepancies in case quantity or product descriptions. Overall, the Production Support role is vital for the smooth operation of the beverage manufacturing process, ensuring that products are prepared and shipped efficiently and safely.
